WHAT DRINK DOES!
To the Editor. Sir, —Your issue of this (Wednesday) morning is worth filing by all who want to know and also to remember what drink does, so as to be able, when called on, to give an intelligent opinion and sound advice to either an individual or to the community on this important topic. In the columns of the daily press
we' are continually told of what drink does, but it is monotonously on the one side. We are never told of how much hjood it does (if any). Every one admits 1 that it does harm—in fact, the harm it does is so frequently brought before readers of the newspapers that
they pass it by. It would be very useful if you would open your columns to those who have .something to say on the benefits derived by the users from alcoholicbeverages; in doing so it would be well to be exact and to state the authorities. Some teetotallers' might be recovered thereby.—l am, etc., G.H.M.
