The French Cabinet has approved the Navy Bill providing for a battle ileet in home waters' of 28 battleships, 10 cruisers, and 52 destroyers, anfl a submarine defence ileet comprising 94 submarines and 4 mine-laying vessels. The construction will shortly be commenced of six battleships, to be, completed by 1915. The age of battleships on active service was) fixed at 25 years, of cruisers at 20 years, and of destroyers and submarines at 17 years.
