ANNUAL .MEETING. The annual meeting of the Taranaki District, A.0.F.. wan held in the Foresters. Hall, Stratford, 011 Tuesday las:. The following district officers and delegates were present: —District RubChief Ranger Bro. J. G. Russell (in the chair); District Beadle, Bro. C. 11. Weston; District Secretary, Bro. JTunbridge; District Treasurer Bro. 11. IR. Cattiev. Court Taranaki, P.O. Bro. E. 'H. Tribe; , Court Waireka. P.D.C.R. Bra H. N. Gold water and P.D.C.R. Bro. A. Tunbridge; Court I'atea, Bro. M. Carey; Inglewood Forest, P.C.R. B''o. R. Fawcett; Raleigh, P.C.R. Bro. A. Klenner: Stratford, P.C.R. Bro. B.~"V. KiVfill; Pride of Eltham, Secre- • tary Bro. >T. Andrews: Pride of New Plymouth, Sis. M. A. Pearee; Fidelity, Sis. M. Kemp. There were also pro sent: P.C.R. Sis. Joseph (Court Prid:- of New Plymouth), P.C.R. Bro. E. Fitness (Court Nil Desperandum), Bro. C. Carvis (Court Waihou, South Canterbury',, and Bro. R. H. Kivell (Court Egmoiuj. Bro. C. F. Foote, A. IT. Arnold and C. T. Mills were re-elected auditors for the ensuing year. Election of officers resulted: D.C.R., Bvo. J. G. Russell; D.S.C.R.. Bro. C. H. Weston; D.8., Bro. R. Fawcett. Thq above officers were duly installed inv,o their respective places l>y Past District Chief Ranger Bro. H. N. Goldwater. During the meeting a hearty vote oi thanks was passed to the visiting brethren. P.C.R. Bro. E. Fitness, on behalf of the visitors; euitaulv respondThe numlber of members admitted during the year was 130, and the number of members left 70, leaving the membership at the end of, the year at 1257 members, being an" increase for the year of 54 adult members and eight juvenile members. The total value of the funds of the courts and district at the end of the year was £24,410 4s 10y 2 d, being an increase of funds to the extent of £l3ll 4s sd. During the year four members and two members' wives died. The sickn'ss j during the year was 1340 weeks 3 day s, and the amount of sick-pav advanced £OBO lis Bd. During the year the Order lost througlTUeath two respected brothers. Bro. J. Stapleton, who was initiated a member of 2oth November, 1874, di >d on 20th -Tuly, 1000. Although unable to take office he took a keen interest in the working of his Court. Bro. Adolph Goldwater, P.C.R. and Treasurer of Court Waireka, was initiated on 22nd November, 1803, and died on 17th January. 1000. He had filled the office of Woodward, Sub-Chief Ranger, Chief Ranger and Treasurer. He carried out his duties well.and was highly respected by the members of his Court and district. It was decided to hold the next delegate meeting at Inglewood. Bro. C. b. Lever was presented with a P.D.C.R. jewel, and it was resolved that his name be placed on the merit hoard.
