ISiYLOR-CA'RRINGTOX CO. The above popular combination appeared in the Theatre lloyal last night to a comfortably-filled house. Tho.r 'performance of the piece "Moondyne," went with capital swing from begin-, •>P'ng to end, and was so spiritedly acted that it greatly enhanced the good name previously borne by the T.C. Co. The story; which is crisply and cleverly written (actual facts being taken for its basis), deals with the escape front Western Australia of " Moondyne," who, though an innocent man, lias been imprisoned for forgery; his escape to England with a fortune made from a •gold find and his subsequent return to Australia in company with the girl who later becomes his wife, she having been wronged by a brute named Captain Drewitt, who has also' been doing his utmost to bring about the ruin of "Moondyne." Mr. Charlie Taylor, as •'Moondyne,;-' played with his usual reserve fomv,, and his perlormance was a strong: a/id wonderfully natural one, he making ail liis points without the slightest strain after effects. Mies Ella Carrington played "Sister Csrilia," a Sister <>f Mercy, a sweet and sympathetic part which she played perfectly. These two stars were supported by a good company, amongst the mosl noteworthy being Mr. Chas. Archer as '"lsaac C-iaui-ton," Mr. Davenport as "Captain Drewitt," Mr. C. M. Keegan as "P-ive Tyre'll," ami Mr. J. A. Meade a- Ensign Clydesdale.' ' Of the ladies '1 the casto, Mies Nellie Dalton, a? : Miee Wailmsley," the heroine, played ''.''l, and always had the sympathy of audience The mounting and stai: under the direction of Mr. C. M. ]<»■ gan, were well carried out. At the fait of the curtain Mr. Taylor briefly thanked the audiencp and stated that r.ne company would be reappeariiiff in the course of a month or so with a new Irish ciramn.
