Smith, George "Bowron and Wil'liam Bowron, grading as Bowron Tiros,, for having made wilfully false returns under the Land and Income Tax Amendment Act for the purpose cf evading 'duty properly payable under .the Act. A very large sum is involved. Defendants are liable on conviction to treble duty and a line of £IOO. The ease will come on for bearing in the Magistrate's Court next Tuesday.
