Sir John Big'iani. further heard the claim to the Sackville peerage and estates. Lionel Edward Saokvillc-Wes:. nephew of the late Lord Sackville, =u:ceeueu his uncle in 190 S. The other claimaVt is Ernest Henri Jean Bapthto West, the eldest son of Lord Sackville and a Spanish dancer, named Josephine (Pepita) Duran. The claimant, Ernest West, claims to be the legitimate son of Lord Sackville. On the other hand, it is contended that any marriage between Lord Sackville and Durau was rendered void by a prior marriage between Duran and a Spanish dancer named Gabriel Oliva. The claimant in these proceedings appears as a petitioner for a declaration of legitimacy. •Kfter respondent's case had closed, claimant (who conducted his own case, his counsel having asked for a postponement of the proceedings to enable him to call members of the Ohva family from Spain. Sir John Bingham refused the request and hears counsel for the othur side on Tuesday.
