THE HOME MARKETS. Isy Telegraph.—Press' Association. Received C, 5 p.m. London, February 5. The wool catalogued amounted to 178,-28:> bales. Of this there wag sold for the Home trade 80.000 bales, for the Continent 81,000, for America 1-1,000", and there was held over 500. Prices for average greasy merinos fuily maintained the December rates, while fine sorts advanced ."> per cent. AH scoumk advanced 5 per cent. The finer crossbreds barely maintained the December prices. Coarser advanced 5 to 10 per cent., top-maKing sorts showing the greatest rise. Slipes advanced 5 to 10 per cent.; merino and lambs, advanced 3 per cent. The Te Pura clip brought ll'/.d, with an average erf 10% d. Rabbits—Market "firm. Strong demand for young sorts. Sydneys 14s Gd ex store. Largo Melbourne 15s. Hides—Market neglected and entries withdrawn. Little ousiness is doing in leather. First Wellingtons, 10% dto 1 "basils, y,d dearer. Kauri gum—ln stock 353 cases. Hemp—Market dull. Januarv-March-£2G 15s. Copra—Market quiet, there being a moderate demand for South Sea ;n bags at £24 per ton. Silver, 23% d. Copper—Spot, £SO Gs 3d; three months £GO 2s Gd. Tin—Spot. £l4O 15s; three month's £l4B ss. Lead. £l3 Ss 9d.
