RIFLE SHOOTING.

TAEAXAKI RIFLES v. STRATFORD. Tii® Taranaki Rifles first team •fired a very enjoyable match against the Stratford Rille Club at Stratford on Thursday afternoon. Although a verg pleasant day, the conditions were against t/ood shooting, there being a medium to strong fishtail wind blowing all through the match. The visitors found the Shooting at 500 and 600 yards very difficult. The Stratford Club shot well and consistently, averaging 92.5 a man. The Snatch resulted in a win for Stratford by 35 points.
