~ SUMMARY AND FORECAST. By TeTegriipTi.—Press AssoerafToti. ~ Wellington. Last Nijrht. Rev. D. C. Bates to-night issued the following weather summary and forecast: Moderate to strong westerly winds ihave prevailed, with fair weather. A squally westerly area of low pressure passed on Thursday night southward of (New Plymouth and Napier. A more extensive area of westerly low pressure twill probably follow immediately, and 41iere are indications for a falling baro(meter everywhere and very low in the isouth. Rain is probable shortly in most "parts of the country. The winds will •probably back to northerly everywhere Soon, and freshen, especially in the feouth.
