WAITARA S.M. COURT.

(From Our Own Correspondent.) A sitting of the Waitara Magistrate's Court was held on Wednesday before Mr. H. S. Fitzherbert, S.M. William Jones and Walter Gilbert were charged with being found on licensed premises without lawful excuse on Sunday, 10th January. The firstnamed pleaded guilty, but said that he was in the hotel to sell fish. He was fined 5s and costs ss'. The second defendant, who did not appear, was fined a similar amount. CIVIL BUSINESS. Joseph Shears v. Herbert Davis, claim ■£4. Judgment for amount, with costs ss. Albert Waters v. Crumby, claim £8 9s sd. Mr. Townsend for plaintiff. Judgment for amount claimed, with costs 23s Od. H. Langman v. Sarah Mars'h, claim £2 Is od. Mr. Wilkes for plaintiff. Judgment for amount, with costs 14s.
