THE GENERAL SYNOD. By Telegraph.—Press' Association. Wellington, Last Night. At the Anglican Synod, the Yen. Archdeacons Neild, Richards and Williams, and the Revs. A. M. Jolms'on, T. H. Sprott, and J. R. Wilford were appointed members of the Board of Theological Studies. A committee, consisting of Archdeacons Gossett, Calder, Gould, York, and the Revs. J. Hobbs and T. H. Sprott, were appointed to try and arrange for a provincial system of Sunday school instruction. Tho Primate, Dean Fitchett, and Messrs. J. 11. llos'king, J. F. Woodhouse and A. A. Finch, were elected members •of the Standing Commission. In order to meet the expenditure of the Board of Theological Studies, it was decided that the dioceses be assessed for the next three years at €IOO per annum, the assessment to be made in the same [proportions as those for the expense of the General Synod; also that for oacli lof the next three years the sum of [ CSO be set aside by the general Church [Trust to provide exhibitions, if necessary. The Synod concluded to-night.
