' SUMMARY AND (FORECAST. By Telewipn.—Press Association. Wellington, Last Night. Rev. D. C. Bates issued the following ■weather summary and forecast this evening: The barometer has risen steadily everywhere, and moderate southwesterly winds have prevailed with an improvement in the weather. The present indications are for little movement of the barometer north of New Plymouth and Napier, with fine weather and moderate westerly winds; but elsewhere freshening westerly winds, increasing cloudiness and a steady fall in the barometer, as a westerly area of low pressure is now due in the south.
