SMART W&RK BY THE RAILWAYMEN. i By Telegraph.—Press Association. Westport, January 31. The engine burnt yesterday was : insured in the State Olfice for £4OO. Marvellous repair and renovation 'work was done bv the railway mechanical staff, and six of the seven damaged locomotives nra- working to-day. Coal haulage is proceeding without a hitch, 'and work is proceeding steadily at Denliiston to-day. It is understood' the men are formulating a proposal to be submitted to the Company. All the companies are inundated with orders for r- r >M.
