Dr. Carlo Fiaschi and Nurse Eleanor V oung were committed for trial by the Coroner's Court on a charge of murdering a girl named Nightingale at LithgoW. Fiaschi's evidence stated that he performed an operation fof hemorrhoids and thfi pa-tfcttt died of shock and Bright'#, disease. • Medical evidence showed tliat there was no indication of an operation for hemorrhoids, while an important organ was missing. . One doctor's opinion was that the operation performed was consistent with Fiaschi's statement. Bail was refused.
