BLOW-OUT AT NO. 2. During boring operations at No. 2 bore yesterday a new gas vein was struck, which immediately commenced to display activity. The boring tools were at once withdrawn, and during the whole of the afternoon the bore was in a continuous state of agitation, the rush of gas on several occasions' throwing oil and silt high over the derrick and on to the road and railway line. Last I night a considerable quantity of oil ,was flowing from the bore into the large tank. The indications at this bore arc improving with every foot drilled. At No. 3 bore the pump was not working yesterday, having .been withdrawn for overhaul. Oil was flowing, however, on its own account, and possibly between four and five barrels was produced in this' way.
