The barometer has risen and fallen again, especially in the South. Westerly •winds nave prevailed, except on the East Coast, and increased this afternoon to a gale in Foveaux Straits and on the West Coast of the South Island. .Present indications aref or the passage of a smart westerly disturbance south of Xew Plymouth and Xapier, a westerly gale, probably with rjiin: strong westerlies and changeable weather; possibly electrical disturbances further north.
