THE WEATHER.
SUMMARY AND (FORECAST, By Telegram.— Association. Wellington, Last Night. Rev. D. C. Bates' summary and forecast are as follow: Cloudy and muggy •weather has prevailed. Rain has fallen on the .west coast and the extreme south of the South Island. Westerly winds have prevailed, strong about Foveaux and Cook Straits, but moderate elsewhere. The present indications are for a short rise in the barometric pressure in the south, to be followed soon bv a decided fall. Rain is probable generally, and freshening westerly winds.
