OTAGO TOURNAMENT. By Telegraph—Press' Association. Dunedin, Saturday Xight. Tile bowling tournament was concluded to-day in lino -weather. In the iinal for the doubles, Dr. Allan and J. Tait (Taieri) met J. Scott and C. .J. Payic (Kaituna), the iormer winning by 10 to 15. Scott led well for Payne and wis holding his own against Dr. Allan, but the TaiurJ skip showed superiority over Payne. There was a good deal of driving in the game, which was a somewhat new feature in a tournament. Kaituna had' placed ~six to their credit at the fifth end, -whilst the Taieri players had scored only one, but at the fifteenth end Taieri got in five, whfch more than equalised matters, and scoring in the next three ends raised their score to IS, which made Payne eight down. At the twentieth end, Taieri increased their score, and Payne added two at the finil end. bringing his score to 15, tile game finishing: Taieri 10, Kaituna 15.
