LORD KITCHENER'S VISIT.
j To the Editor. j Sir. — What are our New I'lymouth and country people doing as regards ' Lord Kitchener's intended visit to the j Dominion? Surely Taranaki is ' entitled to receive a call from Lonl Kitchener. I As Taranaki does not appear amongst I the list of 'places in which our great general is to visit. I hope it is not too iate for the Mayor (Mr. Ti-'oh) or some other prominent gentlemen here to make enquiries and see whether it is not possible for Lord Kitchener to give us a call. T feel sure we would give liini a grand reception.—T am. etc., VOLLN'IEKI!. [There is little likelihood of Lord Kitchener visiting Xew Plymouth. His tour is a business one. and his pro gramme is arranged in order that he might see as much of the Dominion'.-' defences as possible in the short time at his disposal. There is no place for ceremonial or sight-seeing in his itinerary. -Ed.]
