SUMMARY AND -FORECAST, By Telegrapn.—Press Association. Wellington, Last Night. The Rev. D. C. Bates' summary and forecast are as follow:—Heavy showers have fallen in many parts, and, though improving, cloudv and misty weather has prevailed. There has been little movement of the barometer in the North, hut a steady rise has taken place south of New Plymouth and Napier. Moderate southerly winds have prevailed, and present indications still favor a temporary rise in th e barometer, with moderate southerly winds, changing by west to northerly after 24 hours; cloudv and unsettled weather probable generally, foggy at times around the coasts.
