METROPOLITAN COMMITTEE. A meeting of the Metropolitan Committee was liold on Tuesday. Present: Messrs Lepper (chairman), Thomson. Nolan, L. If. Webster, Standish, Blundell and Ellis. Programmes received from the Opuriake and Patea Racing Clubs were approved. Th e Manaia Hack Kacing Club's programme was referred back to the club, with a suggestion that it refer th" matter To Die ATnwter of Interna! Affairs. A gentleman rider's license was granted to John Sheahrn. TARANAKI JOCKEY CLFB. The Taranaki Jockev Club Committee met subsequently, the name members being present. A transfer of the horse Ivohepotte from S. Mcfiuinness to J. A. Street, was approvrd. Four new member* were elected. it was decided 'to charge bookmakers £2O per day, and their clerks l()s per dnr. for the autumn meeting. The committee resolved to ask tile Garrison Hand to supply music for the autumn meeting on the Fame terms :is at previiHis meetings, viz.. CO per day. the band to provide its own luncheon.
