Weston (Stratford D.H.S.). Colin J. Campbell (Stratford D.H.s.j. Archibald T. Bacon (X.P. U.S.). lih. Tavlor (Stratford D.H.S.), Barry C. Wake (Stratford D.H.S.), Myrtle 11. Mackie (Kaimata), Chrissie Law (Stratford D.H.S.), Harold J. Smith (Waitara), Annie Mace (Warca), Harold A. Johnson (West End), James L. Hogg (Stratford D.H.S.), Dorothy E. Kuebe (Ngaire), Mary Dempster (Inglewood). Margaret Tobin (Warea), J. D. C. Macdonald (Uremii), Louis A. Hudson (Stratford D.H.S.), Arthur K. C. Ci'ar idge (Xew Plymouth H.S.), Gordon Salt (Xew Plymouth H.S.), Minnie G. Hignett (Stratford D.H.S.), Eric Lepine (West End), Charles Crone (West End).
The scholarships have been awarded as' follows, this being as far as funds available allow the Board to go: —National: Ivan Wingate Weston and Annie Mace. The regulations .stipulate that one scholarship shall be awarded to «. pupil sitting for examination from a school with an average attendance of under forty, hence the scholarship going to Annie Mace, who secures the highest number of marks among pupils from schools 6f that category. Junior Board: Colin J .Campbell, Archibald T. Bacon, Ida Taylor, Myrtle Rosalind Mackie, and Margaret Tobin. In the cas'e of the last two pupils they secured the highest number of marks among pupils from Schools with an average attendance of less than ninety. The regulations provide for half the scholarships awarded going to pupils from such schools, provided Sufficient number qualify. BOARD SENIOR. The following pupils qualified for free places at the Board Senior Scholarship examination: Irene Kathleen Wyllie. (Stratford), Ronald C. Adlam (New Plymouth H.S.), Sydney E. Gibson (Stratford), Cyril W. Day (New Plymouth H.S.), G. W. D. Rogers (Stratford), C. V. Allan (Stratford), William Mullov (New Plymouth U.S.), EI ma P. W. Wallaeh (New Plymouth H.S.), Kathleen Tobin (New Plymouth H.S.). Roy P. Paul (Stratford), Phyllis S. Clemance (New Plymouth H.S.), Margaret Amy Harle (New Plymouth H.S.), Avondale D. Gray (New Plymouth H.S.), Elsie Greatbach (New Plymouth H.S.). Scholarships' have been awarded to tlie first four pupils, this being the total number the funds available permit the board allocating.
