THE WEATHER.
SUMMARY AND (FORECAST, Bv Teiepriinn.—Press Association. Wellington, Last Night. ' Rev. D. C. Bates' summary and forecast are as follow: —Unsettled an.l cloudy, warm and humid conditions have prevailed, with, heavy showers; fogs n parts and thunderstorms in otheis a.-e •reported. A small secondary cyclone has formed off Kaikoura to-day. Present indications are for a temporary rise in the barometer, and a further fall to-morrow. The weather will prooably pontinue verv unsettled, with variable winds, the prevailing westerly winds ■backing to northerly and freshening after sixteen hours.
