In connection with the Gladstone centenary, the League of Young Liberals, Lord Loreburn presiding, welcomed at a luncheon at Westminster the Bulgarian, Armenian, Montenegrin, and Finnish deputations and acknowledged the tributes they paid to the memory of one who was a humanitarian friend of the small nations. Celebrations were held iu Ireland, New York, Athens, Italy, Eastern Houmelia, Servia, and Capetown.
