By Telegraph.—Press Association. Wellington, Last Night. A conference of slaughtermen from | various parts' of the Dominion is sitting in Wellington. So far the nature of the proceedings has been kept strictly private. TINSMITHS' UNION. Wellington, Wednesday. At the conference of delegates of tinsmitlias, sheet and metal workers, a scheme of federation was completed on the lines of the Painters' Federation. The idea is to organise the trade throughout the couutry and to secure the establishment of branch unions in the smaller towns.
