Next mail for United States nnd Canada (Via Sun Francisco) closes here on Monday, January 3rd, 1010. at (1.15 a.m. (due London 7th February). POST AND TELEGRAPH HOLIDAYS. Christmas Day, Boxing Day, and New Year's Day being Post and Telegraiph holidays, the following hours will be observed:— POSTAL BRANCH. Saturday, 25th December, and Ut January (Christmas and New Year's Day) will be observed as close holidays. On Monday, 27th December (for Boxing Day), Post Offices will be open in all branches (except Money and Savings Bank) from 0 a.m. to 10 a.m. Lettercarriers will make one complete delivery, starting at 7.30 a.m . All receivers will be cleared at 8 o'clock on Friday evenings, 24th and 31st December.
All mails usually made up on Saturday will be closed at 8.30 p.m. on Fridays', 24th and 31st December.
A special delivery of correspondence will bo made over the public counter on the evenings of Fridays, 24th and 31st December, between the hours of 9 p.m. and 10 p.m. Private box lobby will be open from 9.30 a.m. to 9 p.m. on the 25th December and let January, and open as usual on the 27th December. The Railway Travelling Post Office will run as usual on all the holidays. TELEGRAPH BRANCH. The Telegraph Office will be open from 9.30 a.m. to 10 a.m. and from S p.m. to 5.30 p.m. on Christmas Day; from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and from 7 p.m. to midnight on Boxing Day; and on New Year's Day the hours will be 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. TELEPHONE EXCHANGE.
