Bates' summary and fore-1 cast are as follow:—The weather has been remarkably warm and fine, except about; the East Cape and Gisborne, where showers have fallen. Easterly winds have prevailed, with variable force! The present indications are for a falling barometer everywhere, and are somewhat unfavorable, especially in the far north.
