Sydney swimmers believe they have I unearthed a future champion who promises even better thai} the so far incomparable B, B. Kieran. The swimmer in question is a lad of thirteen years, of the name of Jenkins, who won the 880 yds handicap at the Sydney Swimming Club's carnival from the, lti.is ■(• mark in I4min 29sec, which is truly a remarkable performance for a boy' w that age. He swims with a clean and powerful stroke and kick, and showed himself the possessor of plenty of pluck by fighting out a desperate finish for the last hundred yards.
