TARANAKI LAND BOARD.
The Land Board met. yesterday. Present: The Commissioner of Crown Lands ('Mr. F. Simpson, presiding), ami .Messrs. lleslop, Rattenbury, Connctt, and McCluggage. The applications of 11. Williamson for sections «3 and 04, block 4, Paritutu, and of C. R. Holmes for section 01, block 4, Paritutu, were approved.
iMessrs. Malonc and Johnstone were granted extension of time to transfeisections 1 and 2, block 5, Ngatimaru, from T. L. Buxton to S. Gadsby.
Improved F.S. leases will be issued to A. Neil, section 1, block 12. Aria; C. Gcrsler, section 9, block 12, Aria; J. H. Keightley, section 17, block 1, AriaJ. W. Wallace, section 21, block 1, Aria. P. Haokett applied to surrender h i interest in sections 25, 28, block 2, lleao. —Forfeited accordingly. H. T. Twiss, Crown lands ranger, reported resuming possession of section 7, block 2, Opaku, and it was decided to re-offer the section.
The ranger's report, with reference to a small piece of Crown land adjoining Waipuku township, winch F. Harmel desired to lease.—Report adoptea.
The Board dealt with the following settlers, who had not complied witn residence conditions: —J. Wilks, sections 2 and 3, block 10, Kapara, conditions to be enforced, or forfeiture; T. A. O'Brien, section 13, block 3, Olnira, three months' notice of forfeiture to be given; L. M. Xatzke, section 0, block 3, Mahoc, six months' extension granted.
H. Bowman was refused a lease ot section 19, block 2, Aria. On tlie report of E. Tolme, Crown Lands Kangcr, it was decided to dispose of section 3, block (I, to K. A. Johanscn.
W. A. Coombridge wrote that the best part of his section (section 1, block 3, Totoro), and the only building site, was being cut off for recreation grounds.—Deferred till next meeting.
Ai. G. Crawford applied for lease of section 9, or section 10, village of Tongaporutu.—The sections will be offered for sale by public auction. T. Molloy wrote that he was not in a position to purchase the closed part of the Maude road.—Deferred.
JI. T. Twiss, ranger, submitted valuation of improvements on S.G. runs 2 and 12, Opaku.—Tenants to be notified of the Board's intention to resume possession on expiration of lease. The following local bodies submitted proposals for expenditure of accrued thirds:-r

J. J!acon wrote accepting section S, block 2. Tangitu, as his application in Wellington district had been refused Section to be restored to him.
