MOTOR CYCLE ACCIDENT. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Christcliurch, Last Night. Yesterday afternoon at Rangiora a young iiiiiii named ilarry Lander was .severely injured a« a. result of a moior cycle accident When travelling at a J iijuh_ speed, machine skidded md coinued with an iron verandah fence. Lander waa thrown against the fen-'-e and sustained severe injuries and was picued up in an unconscious condition. FOILNJ) DEAD. Christchurch, Last Night. An old age pensioner named John Morris was found dead in his ownhoust at Stavelcy on Wednesday afternoon, llorris had been sull'ering from pneumonia lately and this ailment is fail})posed to be the cause of death. A MAN POISONED. Cliristcliurdi, Dceembe- 17. Oorge Kirton, a platelayer, ; i,; 1 DO, on arriving home last night, picued up a jug from a table and took a draught. Hie contents proved to he a solution for killing weeds. Ivirton died in tin* hospital from the elVeets of the poison. FATAL FA'LLB.
Christehurch, December 17. James Hulston, n fanner at West Melton, was killed by falling from the top of a waggon. Deceased wab' a married man, 50 year,-j of age. .Fames McLean fell oil" a load of hav and struck a post. Morphia was administered to alleviate the pain, and subsequently the unfortunate man died. A verdict of accidental death was returned, the morphia having been given in a scientific and careful manner.
