A match for tyros will also he fired—first prize 15s, second 10s, and third .>.*. Entry fee 3s. A ladies' prize will also lie given. A lady will nominate a gentleman, and the nomination money is to go towards prizes. The ranges are to he 300 and 000 yards, ten shots to he fired at each range, ■with, one sighter. The targets were fixed up last week, and the ranges will he marked off this week ami other arrangements completed. The roads are now in a very had state of repair, owing to the dry weather. The main road is m a very had state, it lieins nil loose stones anil dnstholes. The first load of cheese from our local farlorv wiui taken away last week, and consisted of sixty-ndd crates.
Mr. Fred. Chapman, the manager cf "Mr. A. Alexander's farm, met with a very nasty accident last week. As he was riding home his horse tripped in a dusthole on the Bailey road, and fell, the rider having the misfortune to be under the horse. He was badly bruissd on the arms and leg, and will be laid up for some days,
