FOREMEN'S REPORTS. RAHOTU SOUTH. T. Humphries (Kehotu) reported that between Oaomii and To Muniu riveis loose stones had been raked up. ihe road to the beach had been completed and tram laid down. He hoped to m.ue a start hauling, the stone from the beach in the course of a few days, providing he got the trolley wheels" on Monday next. The new crusher jaws had arrived, and were now ready for work.
Opuuake Riding: He had inspected tile To Xaniu hill, and would ueconimeml this to be widened about 4ft 2in on each side and the culvert widened 4ft across the road. The cost would he about CH. Eltham road in Itahotu riding had :tl-so been repaired during the ninnlb. !;e was quite certain he had not removed any timber owned by Air. AlaclieynoMs, the two pieces of timber 14 x 10. Hit long, which he had removed being part of the old Waiatia bridge.
It was decided that Te Xuniii hill be widened on condition that the dairy company extend the culvert to the necessary width. The Council decided to return the sti n of £1 to Councillor Macßeynolds, wlio had paid for bridge timber'he had ni.t received. RAHOTU NORTH.
M. McHanigan, Eaholu Riding (Xortli), reported that he had been busy repairing the main south road between Ononui and Puniho, raking up stone e-.id binding parts of the metal where tie metal was coming through owing to the dry weather. He had also cleaned out water-tables and inlets to culverts ami outlets north and south of Rahotu. He asked for 400 ft of timber for repairing two small fences, also 200 ft of fencing timber for bridges. The timber asked for was authorise!
