The Dean of Newcastle wired to the northern proprietors and miners that in view of the approach of Christum* they •should make a truce of God for a specific time, proposing that the men return ,to work with certain concessions and in the meantime the whole matte; lie considercd by the Board oi Arbitration.
LOADING BY FREE LABOR. Received December 10, 1.15 a.m. Sydney, December 14. It is reported that three oversea vessels have made preparations for loading by free labor to-morrow.
WORKING THE GAS COAL. Sydney, December 14. The Gas Employees' Union has decided to work the coal lying at the company's wharves. This assures a gas supply till Christmas.
