Beet unchanged. River Plate sheep—Heavy 25-16 d, light 3%d. Ueef: Fores 2 11-lßd, hinds unchanged. Lambs, 2%d. Rabbits are llat and unchanged. There arc large supplies of English and New Zealand. Cheese is dull at 555. Hemp is inactive. January-March is quoted at £2B 10s. Copra is dull, the high prices checking business. South Sea (nominal) is quoted at £25 7s 6d. Cotton—Liverpool, 7.77 d per lb. Silver, 23 15-10 d. Copper—On spot £59 16s 3d, thrne months £6O 10s 3d; electrolytic £6l lie. A shipment of buyers per s.s. Ruapehu arrived in good condition; also a shipment of cheese. Tho average price of choicest New Zealand butter is 112s; Australian 108s, Danish 1245, Siberian 110s, Argan-' I tine 110s. Cheese—The market is very quiet, and I a shade weaker. Nothing doing. There is a stock of 167 tons. Hemp—The price of New Zealand hemp, good fair grade, on spot, is £2s; fair grade, £27; Manila, fair current, £27j January to March shipments, Xc* Zealand, good fair £27 10s, fair £2O 10s j Manila. £26 10s. The output of Manila for the week was 24,000 hales. Cocksfoot seed.—The market is firm with a better demand. The stocks on hand are light.
