AMUSEMENTS.
LIIiDERTAFEL CONCERT. The programme for the New Plymouth Liedertafel's concert, to be held in Hie Theatre lloyal on Wednesday next, appears in this issue. It will be seen that the programme has been very carefully selected, and includes some gems of. wcliknown composers. There arc part songs by the Liedertafel, a double quartette, quartette and trio. A 'full orchestra composed of leading instrumentalists will render Harold's Overture to Zainpa, and Franz l.ehar's Valse de Concert "Ellentaiiz." .Miss Rosalie llandley (who is the holder of several gold medals' will sing Gounod's "Ave -Maria" and Gounod's '■' Serenade," with violin obligator by 31r. 11. Spencer Salt; and ill's. E. 0. Robinson will give two fine con-1 tralto songs, "Break, Break, Break" (Louis Carey) and "Still as the Night" (Carl Bohm). Tickets are selling well, and the concert is being looked forward to by lovers of good music. The box plan will be opened at the Collier and Colonial Piano Company's office on lionday morning, when seats can be reserved without any extra charge.
