PARIHAKA ROAD BOARD.

The ordinary monthly meeting v.as held at Uahotu on Wednesday. Present: Messrs ioung (chairman), Bowman, W. Harvey, Jones and Warner, Jhaia road loan,—lt was decided lo authorise the raising of a No. 3 loan fur this work, the amount to be raised being.

Complaint—Mr. A. McDonald Wrote complaining about the Board's men leaving his gate open and letting his cattle out.—Resolved, That the Board s men be instructed to attend to the gates. Crustier.—The Egmont County Council asked for permission to place the crusher plant on the side road between Waroa road and Waiweranui river.— Granted, on condition that the Council be responsible for any damage done. a:;,l the road kept open for traffic. Culvert—Messrs Roy and Xichol-.0-i (on behalf of Mr. P. Willcox) wrote requesting the Board to keep the culvcit open. l'auru load.—Mr. C. Jeffries waited i n the Board, asking for a dray crossing to oe made; it would take about two da;s' work.—Resolved that the work be dons. Te Namu road.—Mr. E. C. Mlddleton wrote asking for a drain to lie deepened, so as to keep surface water off his land. —lt was decided to attend to it. Mountain track. Mr. H. Rtonex wrote stating that a tree had fallen acioss tin- Kalmi road, blocking traffic, a few chains from the radius line.—Unsolved tlmt tlte foreman have it cleaned away.

I'pper Parihaka road.—Mr. H. S. 1/v----s.if>ht wrote statins that the serubbW,! for which he promised a donation of £4 was not properly done, only half a mile bcin-j done for £8. —Resolved that the Board accept C2 in place of £4. Accounts amounting to £OB 15s were passed for payment.
