BURNED TO DEA'IH, By Telegraph.—Press Association. Ohrlstchurch, Friday. Arthur Way, nineteen years of ago, was burned to death by a fire at Homeman's stables at Cheviot early this morning. WEALTHY HAN FOUND DRCW .\ED. " , m Duucdiii, Friday. The body of Samuel McDonald Alexander, aged 58, was found floating in the harbor under the Rattray-stroct early this morning. Deceased, who lived with his wife at Opoho, and "possessed considerable means, left homo yesterday morning with the object of purchasing a new home. AN EX-OARSMAN DROWNED. Wan'ganui, Last Night. Edward Hackett, an old resident of Wan'ganui, and at one time n well-known oarsman, was drowned in the river at midnight on Thursday. He had been working at the Parapara, and when coming home called at the honse of Mr. Fred Allan, on the river bank, in order to borrow a .boat to cross' the river, and so save a walk of two and a half miles, He procured the boat, and shortly afterwards Mr. Allan heard a cry for help.
