Dr. James Mackintosh Bell (Director of the New Zealand Government Geological Survey Department) accompanies Captain Scott, if the New Zealand Government is willing. Professor David has been requested to select a second geologist in Australia. The landing parties will number 30. By Telegraph.—Press Asportation. Christcluirch, December 10. The latest news of the Antarctic expedition is that Mr. Kinsev had seen the New Zealand representative, that the Terra Nova was now refitting, and 1 that the expedition would reach Lyttelton early in November, and go south at the end of December. The Lyttelton ' Harbor Board has informed Captain ' Scott, through Mr. Kinsey, that the port ! I is at his disposal, free of charge.
