There was a large attendance, and tiie sum of £,->437 passed .through the tote, making ±',12,018 for the meeting. The amount named is £2200 behind last year. Ten bookmakers were again licensed, nine inside and one outside, the total fees from pencillers for the two days being £390. Interesting racmg was witnessed. Waiata and Advantage were out in front for six furlongs, where they dropped back beaten.
