NAVVY'S SIiIUOUS ACUWJiNI. Christchurch, Last Night. Daniel Cruiekshanks, employed on the Midland Railway works in the vicinity of the Cass, beyond Broken liiver, met with a serious accident to-day. He was running out a truck, which went over the end of ait embankment, taking him with it. lie fell a distance of thirty ur forty feet, and the truck landed on top
of him. His injuries were so serious that lie was removed to the Christchurch hospital. OLD LADY'S SUDDKN END.

A WOMAN'S SUiUIDE. Dunedin, Last Night. Margaret Stratton, a married woman, aged 4U, was found dead this afternoon. She was hanging by means of a scarf from a clothes hook behind a door. She had been under treatment for some time for mental and nerve troubles. A PUBLICAN'S SUDDEN DEATH. Dunedin, Last Night. The police were informed to-day that Jeremiah Norman, licensee of the Bridge Hotel, Miller's Flat, died suddenly today. There are no suspicious circumstances. I
