AN APPEAL DISMISSED. !By Cable.—Press Association.—Copyright New York, December 7. The United States Supreme Couit has dismissed the appeal by Chus, \V. Morse, a New York banker, against bin conviction of misapplication of fun.ln and of making false eutries in a banking account. Morse will therefore serve the original sentence of 15 years' imprisonment. Charles Morse, the "Ice King," was formerly vice-president of the National Bank of North America, Twenty-seven months ago Mr. Morse's bond of £4,000,000 would have been considered good. He began his career by selling toffee on river excursion 'boats, and before the crash came he practically owned a chain of twelve banks and trust companies, and three insurance companies. The conviction mentioned in the cable was recorded against him last year. He appealed to the Federal Court and his appeal was dismissed. The prisoner, while released on bail recently, made £400,900 in Wall Street in four months, and with that sum paid a considerable proportion of his debts.
