L. hates' summary and forecast arc as iollow: Westerly low pressure, with moderate gradients, lias passed over the country nt the same pressure as the low pressure area northward of New Zealan.i, and winds have been very variable ant the weather sultry. Rain lias -fallen in the southern districts, and squally weather was experienced on the easlt coast of the South Island at times. The present indications are for a further fall in the .barometer, with strong northerly and "westerly winds. Changeable and showery weather is probable south of New Plymouth and Napier, and warm and humid conditions elsewhere. Winds will probably continue westerly, generally for about 3(i hours before veering for southerly.
