Mr. Wade (Premier)'had an interview in bis bedroom, where he is still confined, with Mr. Hughes, Übor M.P., to-day, and sees Mr. LnurmonMi, president of the Coal Proprietors' Association, in the morning, with the object of being given an opportunity of coining to some arrangement so as lo forestall legal proceedings by the Government on Friday. The northern proprietors have handsd to the press a lengthy statement of their position, and complain of misrepresentation by the strike leaders. They slate they have, nothing to hide, and arc willing to abide by the findings of a Parliamentary tribunal. Thev claim that only an independent tribunal can adjust the difficulty.
