Butter—Colonial butter is selling steadily at about. Is decline owing to the reduction of Danish lo 1211s, Argentine to 114s and llos, unsalted to mis and 117s. Importers are well saliiiiied with the quality of the new colonials, 'Which, are considered generally superior to last year's shipments. Copper—£s9 lis 3d on spot; three months £62 6s.
Tin—On spot £142 ss, three months £144 Ss.
Lead, £l3 2s 6d. Iron, 51s. Sugar—German 12s 7d, first* marks 14s 7d.
Wqol—Bradford wool is lirm. On spot forty-sixes are quoted at follies 13% d, future sixty-fours 20%u, tummou sixties 24% d ,super 25% d. At the London sale., the Clear clip realised la'/ad and lid.
There is a strong market, with a keen general competition. An excellent selection of merino lias been offered.
Rabbit skins—There is a very strong market, all furriers' sorts making 30 to 40 per cent, advance. Cutlers' skins are about a penny dearer. Kauri gum—At the sales 509 tons were offered, and 120 sold at extreme pricc6.
