AVERY'S XMAS ARRAY.
Mr. T. Avery has found it necessary to take extra shop-room for the next five weeks or so, in order to display ;ulequately his large new stock, ju'st iiu> ported, of leather and other goods suitable for Christinas presents'. Tile selection is a good one, and the stock is well shown ill the corner shop of the Coll'ee Palace buildings, opposite the permanent 'premises. The ladies' bags in morocco, crocodile, puma, and Kussian 1 leather are shown in the shapes latest in vogue, Peggy, Irene, Kit/, and so on., There is a bewildering variety ot purses,' too, in the above-named leather* and in satin, with chain and leather handles, j Those wishing to make presents to their lady friends are not limited to these, for there are beautiful dressing-eases, writing-cases, silver manicure and companion sets', a splendid variety of antograps albums, photograph frames, and so 011. The range of leather goods includes gents' pocket-books and lettercases, . silver and gold-mounted; gents dressing-cases, collar-boxes, brush sets; purses and shaving-stands. A display ot this kind would be incomplete without [Christmas greeting cards, and of these a choice selection is offered to customers. It is Mr. Avery's intention to keep the new showroom open until about the ] end of the first week in January.
