On Saturday the above teams commenced a match on the Tukapa ground, under perfect weather conditions. The

Huns came slowly for the first few overs, and two ivickcts were down for D when McLaren came in and thecricket became more lively. Kmsella, who had been bowling well till now, was knocked about, an<| to last two ovcra 'producing H runs, Ricmirda came on at his end. AleLarcn was nicely set when he received a nasty blow from the ball, which caused play to cease for a few minutes. Upon resuming, the offset of the knock could be seen } and after playing two balls he was bowled by O'Byrne, having played a most useful innings for his side of 30 runs'. Of the remaining batsmen the only one to make a stand was Ooates, who showed much improved form in compiling his score oi 11 not out. The Warehousemen's innings, with one batsman absent, closed for 80 runs. In the bowling department .Richards came out with the best average of five for 24, but O'Byrne was die bowler who wan treated with most respect. He bowled throughout the iniings and his overs only averaged two runs each.
