SUMMARY AND FORECAST. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Wellington, Last Nig'nt. Following is Rev. Bates' summary and forecast:—High pressure has prevailed, and the weather lias been fine, except about the East Cape, where rain nae fallen and a south-east gale sprung up during this afternoon. Moderate to strong south-easterly winds have prevailed over the North Wand, and easterly elsewhere. Present indications are for a falling "barometer everywhere with freshening easterlies soon over the North Island, and northerlies elsewhere. The weather will probably continue fair in most parts, but with increasing haziness and cloudiness for more unsettled weather, due first in the extreme north and south after 36 hours.
