Auckland, Tuesday.—Sailed, at 5.40 p.m., Taluno, for Karatc-nga. AN IMPROVED SERVICE. Owing to tlie quanti:'. s cf cargo offering at Wsll ugton for New Plymouth and Onehui.ga, the ' nion Company has decided to replace, the Rosa mond in the cargo service with a larger Teasel. The Kotuku, which lias a cargo carrying capacity of 1500 tons against the Rosamond's 700 tons, has been selected, and she will replace the latter vessel this week. The Rosamond will arrive from Wellington on Thursday, and after discharging her cargo will pro cccd to Onehunga, to take up the Ko-1 tuku's place on the run from that port to Greymouth. The Kotuku will arrive at this port from Onehunga on Friday and wait here until Saturday, when she will leave for Wellington in the Rosamond's place. The Kotuku is being made suitable for the carriage of cheese.
DAIRY PRODUCE FUIV.VIEN.CB. On Saturday about 2CROO boxes a butter will be shipped by the Corimia at Onehunga, and about 12,500 boxes at New Plymouth on Monday. The Kotuku will take about 2500 packages of cheese from Onehunga, and about 400 packages from New Plymouth, The amount of dairy produce shipped from New Plymouth for the Old Country by the Rimutaka was 11,133 box s of butter and 1073 crates of chees-. From Patea the a.-, omit was 4410 box« of butter and 4054 nates cheese.
