JIAYW'AUD'S PICTURES.. The above company will appear in the Theatre Royal on Friday and' Saturday next, when another excellent programme * is announced. The star picture is the latest sensational military scene, "The Boy Scouts to the Rescue," and depicts a thrilling episode ia the life and training of our youthful soldiers, and has been received with great enthusiasm " wherever shown. ''The Hand of tne Victim" is an exciting dramatic story, and "A Day in Washington" is considered one of the finest scenic pictures ever produced. Other scenic pictures are "Snapshots in India," "Turtle-catching in Sonbfabza,'' and feature." Then there is a clever trick film entitled "Eastern Magic," beautifully ] colored, and the comic subjects, "Stung by a Bee," "Carlino objects to Work," and "Hunting the Berlin Jack the Ripper" will add to the enjoyment of the evening's entertainment. Popular picture prices will be charged and a matinee will be held on Saturday. HOSPITAL BENEFIT. The Benefit performance in aid of the r hospital, to be given on Thursday night ■ in the Theatre by Messrs, Cooper and ' Brookes, late of " West's," should rcrlt in a substantial amount being raised for a worthy object. In addition to the pictorial entertainment, for which a completely new supply of films has been secured, a number of vocal and instrumental items by leading local performers will be given. The full programme will be advertised to-morrow. "CHISELIJXG." Not the least interesting of the entertainments to be given nt the Cent fa I School fete on Thursday and Friday will be the six performances of "Chiselling" by the local amateurs. The piece is a i pure farce and a good one, being a sure laiighter-gettcr. A good caste is arranged for, and all who visit the school gymnasium at either 4 o'clock, 7.45 or' SAS on Thursday and Saturday, may look forward to 40 minutes' really good amusements. THE AMATEURS. Rehearsals for "Our Boys" afc progressing favorably, and the Amateurs \ should give good performances nest Wednesday and Thursday, December Ist J and 2nd.
