At a mooting of the Trades and Labor Council last night, a motion was passed expressing strong dissatisfaction with the land proposals of the government as outlined iu the Einancial Statome it, and hoping that every true Liberal iu both Houses would use everv legal memod to prevent the proposals becoming law. A further proposal was passed expresi ing the hope that the leasehold member.' would remain true to their principles oven if by doing so it meant the withdrawal of their support from the present Ministry.
